Luke’s Gospel tells of a time when Jesus visited two sisters, Mary & Martha.  The passage serves as a lesson in priorities.  From the start we see that we have a choice as to how we will spend time with Jesus.  Secondly, serving Christ is a good thing, but, serving Christ with the wrong focus leads to frustration.  Finally, Jesus gently suggests that personal time with the Lord should be our priority.  

 

In it all, we need to be sure we focus on what’s important, not just what’s immediate – make personal time with the Lord your priority.
