Church should be a place where we can be safe from false teaching.  But, even here, we still need to be on our guard.  Jesus, Paul, Peter, Jude and others in Scripture repeatedly warned that false teachers would arise, even in the church, who would deceive many.

 

As we come to 1 Timothy 4 this morning, Paul warns the young pastor against false teachers, highlighting three 3 things for us: 1) False Teaching can be Spiritually Fatal; 2) Rejecting What God has Given Does Not Make Us Righteous; and 3) Be Grateful for The Good Things God has Created.

 

False teaching pulls people away from God and denies the goodness of His creation.
