- May 3, 2026Loving the Lord’s Servants
May 3, 2026Loving the Lord’s ServantsSeries: (All)Paul devoted his entire Christian life to preaching the Gospel and establishing churches as he traveled the first century world. But, in 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13, he encourages the church to be grateful for their own leaders. In looking at this text, I want to commend our church family for doing so well at caring for their leaders. We will also take the opportunity at the end of the service to honor our former pastor in his retirement by granting him the title, Pastor Emeritus, and thanking the Lord for his years of faithful service.Be grateful for those who devote their lives to serving God.1 Thessalonians 5:12-13May 3, 2026To watch the video of this message, click here.
- Oct 12, 2025Being a Part of Something That Matters – Membership in the Church
Oct 12, 2025Being a Part of Something That Matters – Membership in the ChurchSeries: (All)We typically have reasons for going places, wherever it is we go: You go to school to get an education so you can make a living. You go to work to make money so you can pay the bills. You go to the gym for exercise and better health. You go to the grocery store to buy food. Most of us could likely give a reason that we choose to attend church as well. We might say that going to church is the most spiritually fulfilling, inspiring thing we do all week.Let me change it up a bit, though. What if I was to ask, “What is the reason you should become a member of a church?” That’s different, isn’t it? It’s one thing to attend a church. But, we’d probably say it’s a different level of commitment entirely to become a member of a church. It’s good to occasionally look into some of these basic sorts of topics. There are 3 things we’re going to cover this morning: 1) What does it mean to be a member of The Church? 2) A few objections to membership; and 3) What is the value of being a member of a local church? The Christian life involves more than just believing – it also includes belonging! We grow in Christ by being in relationship to other Christians.Selected ScriptureOct. 12, 2025To watch the video of this message, click here.

Jun 29, 2025God’s Grace is EnoughSeries: (All)Life’s struggles can seem overwhelming – we can give in to discouragement, depression and anxiety, worrying about what will or won’t happen. We can find ourselves wondering, “Where is God’s grace now? Will He show me grace even here?”God’s grace is present here and now – it is available to us. A look at 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 helps us to see that God’s grace wasn’t just available and sufficient for Paul, but that it is presently available and sufficient for us as well, no matter what we’re going through. Four points can be discerned in Paul's words to us: God’s Grace is Sufficient for Unsolicited Problems; 2) God’s Grace Should Drive Us to Unrelenting Prayer; 3) God’s Grace Shows Up in Unexpected Provision; and 4) God’s Grace Leaves Us with Undeniable Peace.God’s grace is sufficient to sustain you no matter what you may be suffering.2 Corinthians 12:7-10June 29, 2025To watch the video of this message, click here.

- May 19, 2024What is Worship?
May 19, 2024What is Worship?Series: (All)“Worship” is one of those words that will bring you various definitions, depending on who you ask. Some will tell you it’s an attitude that you should have, either in church or in all of life. Others will talk about a wonderful “worship service” they attended – pointing to worship as something that is done in groups. Still others relegate worship to the musical portion of a church service, perhaps led by the Worship Pastor.Worship is more than the songs we sing at church, though it includes them. Our worship is to be directed towards God, but, it is done together with others as well. There are 3 primary texts that we’ll look at as we worship:
- Our Worship Should Be Filled with Joyful Praise and Reverent Adoration (Ps. 95:1-7)
- Our Worship Should Come from Our Whole Selves – Heart & Mind (John 4:23-24)
- Our Worship Should be Combined with That of Others to Bring God a Variety of Praise (Eph. 5:19-20)
Let’s come together with everything we have to praise the Lord – He is Worthy of Our Worship!Selected ScriptureMay 19, 2024To watch the video of this message, click here.
